A working framework for clients who have jobs, kids, and zero interest in tracking 47 macros. Three loops, no theatrics.
The rule I refuse to break
Whatever plan we build, you have to be able to do it on the worst Tuesday of the month. Not the best Saturday. The worst Tuesday — sick kid, missed sleep, no groceries, twenty free minutes. If the plan dies on a Tuesday like that, the plan is wrong. Not you.
That single rule is why The Glow & Grow System looks the way it looks. It is built around three nested loops, smallest first, and each loop is allowed to scale up only when the one underneath it is automatic.
Loop 1 — The Anchor (Weeks 1 to 3)
The first three weeks we are not chasing weight loss. We are not chasing PRs. We are choosing one anchor habit small enough that you would feel ridiculous failing at it. For most clients it is: drink 24 oz of water before the first coffee, every morning. That's it. That's the whole assignment.
Why so small? Because we are not training the body yet. We are proving to your nervous system that you are someone who keeps promises to herself. The anchor is the proof. Once you have rehearsed it for 21 mornings without negotiation, your brain accepts a new sentence: I am someone who follows through. Everything else gets built on top of that sentence.
Loop 2 — The Stack (Weeks 4 to 8)
Now we add. The water habit stays. On top of it we stack:
- A protein floor at breakfast (around 30 g — eggs, Greek yogurt, a shake if you're rushed). - A 20-minute movement window, four days a week. Not "a workout." A window. Some days it is a full strength session. Some days it is a walk with the dog while you call your mom. The window is non-negotiable. What you put in it is flexible. - A nightly two-minute review: what did I keep, what did I miss, what do I move tomorrow.
This is the loop where most clients start seeing the scale shift, but I do not let them care about the scale yet. We are still rehearsing identity. The numbers are a side effect.
Loop 3 — The Glow (Weeks 9+)
Once the stack is automatic — meaning you no longer have to think about it — we open the throttle. This is where we get specific. Macros if you want them. Periodized training if you want it. Body composition goals if they matter to you. By the time we get here, you have spent two months proving to yourself that you are not the person who quits in week three. That changes everything about how this part feels.
The reason most online coaching fails is that it starts at Loop 3 and skips Loops 1 and 2. The macros are right, the program is right, but the identity underneath them is still the old one. So it falls apart.
What this looks like for a mom of four
I will use myself as the example since it is the one I know. Four kids. A coaching practice. A husband. A house that does not clean itself. My anchor is water and a five-minute mobility flow before anyone else is awake. My stack is 30 g of protein at breakfast, a 20-minute strength block at 6:00 am four days a week, and a walk after dinner. My glow loop is the part I get to enjoy now because the bottom two loops run themselves.
That is the entire system. It is not sexy. It is not a 12-week shred. It is a way of living that compounds for years instead of collapsing in a month.
How to start without me
You do not need a coach to begin. Pick one anchor habit small enough to feel ridiculous. Do it for 21 mornings without negotiation. Read the mindset piece while you do it. When you are ready for a stack and a glow you can't see yet, come find me.
